In the future I predict that Roger will get what he wants and then he will meet the old woman again sometime when he is older. I predict this because if a kid is stealing pocketbooks at his age he won't change in the future. Even if he told her that he would change he probably won't.
I predict that they will run into each other again and he will try to steal the pocketbook again. He will be successful this time and the woman will call the police to arrest him. There are only a few things that point this direction. first he never truly thanked her for the money and he will keep stealing because he has no money.
